Registered New Mexico voters can now request an absentee ballot for the 2024 General Election by visiting the NM Voter Info Portal NMVote.org

Once voters make an online request for an absentee ballot, the ballots are mailed to the voter.

Completed ballots  can be submitted in the following ways:

• Mailed or dropped off at the County Clerk’s Office,

• Dropped off in-person at a polling site during either early voting or Election Day voting.

Voters are reminded that the deadline to request an Absentee Ballot is Tuesday, October 22. If the ballot is mailed back, voters should allow 7 – 10 days for the ballot to be delivered to the County Clerk’s Office in Santa Fe, Bernalillo or Torrance Counties. General Election Day is Tuesday, November 5.

If a voter selects the permanent absentee ballot option, they will automatically be mailed an absentee ballot for every subsequent election. The option can be changed at any time.
