Spring Workshops

The NMSU Torrance County Cooperative Extension Services is currently hosting a four-part series of classes at the Bethel Storehouse in Moriarty following the free nutrition education classes. 

March 11 – Leather Craft

March 18 – Macrame Plant Hanger

March 25 – Dream Catchers

All classes will be held at the Bethel Storehouse in Moriarty from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. For more information on these classes email Debby Maberry at maberryd@nmsu.edu. 

Annual Family Health & Safety Day

The Mountainair Annual Family Health and Safety Day is right around the corner. The fair will be hosted in the Mountainair High School Gym from on April 13, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The fair is free and open for all ages. Door prizes will be available during the fair. Following the fair starting at 11 a.m. there will be the Central New Mexico Electric Coop Annual Meeting. The event will provide safety tips for health and medication and you can turn in any of your unused or expired medication for safe disposal. Enrolling Pre-K Students

The Moriarty Edgewood School District (MESD) is currently enrolling students into their Early Childhood Center Pre-K program. The program features a developmentally appropriate curriculum, play-based learning, outdoor play, and highly qualified teachers. Students for the program must have turned 4 by September 1, 2023. Easter Egg Hunt 

While everyone is doing the Easter egg hunt, the Town of Edgewood is holding the biggest in town. Join the fun on Mar. 30 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The egg hunt will be held at Venus Park in Edgewood and will have more than just an egg hunt for the Easter festivities. There will also be some other fun activities, the Boba Addiction Food Truck, and a display to take photos with the Easter Bunny.
