The New Mexico Department of Transportation and the Town of Edgewood are hosting a public meeting to discuss planning studies for the NM 344 corridor and I-40 interchange later this month.
Edgewood is conducting an engineering and environmental study on NM 344 from Dinkle Road to Frost Road, which includes an assessment of two potential new I-40 interchanges east and west of the current NM 344/I-40 interchange.
A public meeting will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Estancia Valley Classical Academy in Edgewood to share the initial findings from the study and outline the next steps. The public is encouraged to share questions and thoughts on the study to help shape future plans for the interchanges.
The studies analyze Edgewood’s transportation needs and investigate potential solutions to improve traffic flow while prioritizing safety and accessibility for all modes of transportation.
Comments and questions can also be sent to Estela Salinas at (505) 545-8465 or edgewoodcorridorstudy@parametrix.com.
